Bare Ground Maintenance

Maintaining vegetation-free areas where growth is not an option. In certain areas, vegetation growth creates safety risks, operational issues, or infrastructure damage. PLM’s Bare Ground Maintenance services provide reliable vegetation control to keep critical areas clear, accessible, and functional.

Bare Ground Vegetation Control for Critical Areas

PLM provides professional bare ground maintenance for sites where vegetation must be eliminated and prevented from returning. These services are commonly used for industrial facilities, substations, fence lines, storage yards, gravel lots, rail corridors, pipelines, and other high-use or sensitive areas where plant growth cannot be tolerated.
Our bare ground vegetation management approach focuses on controlling existing growth and preventing regrowth through targeted applications and proper timing. PLM evaluates site conditions, soil type, drainage, and surrounding vegetation to ensure bare ground control is effective while maintaining stability and minimizing off-site impacts. This service supports long-term site management by keeping critical areas clear and operational.

Our Vegetation Control Process

1. Site Evaluation & Use Review

We assess the site to understand how the area is used, where vegetation is causing problems, and what level of bare ground maintenance is required.

2. Vegetation & Growth Assessment

Our specialists evaluate existing vegetation, regrowth potential, and environmental conditions that influence bare ground vegetation control.

3. Bare Ground Management Planning

PLM develops a site-specific bare ground maintenance plan outlining treatment methods, application timing, and maintenance expectations.

4. Targeted Bare Ground Vegetation Control

We implement bare ground control using appropriate vegetation management techniques to eliminate existing growth and suppress future vegetation.

5. Monitoring & Ongoing Maintenance

We monitor treated areas and adjust bare ground maintenance strategies as conditions change to maintain vegetation-free surfaces over time.
