Patrick Selter joined PLM Lake and Land Management in 1996. He currently serves as Vice President of the Midwest Region from PLM’s Shakopee, Minnesota location and is a Corporate Board Member of the company. In this role, Patrick oversees regional operations, staff leadership, business development, and large-scale aquatic management programs throughout the Midwest.
Patrick has contributed across all facets of the company, including staff management, business development, budget planning, equipment construction and maintenance, contract preparation, and project execution. He played a key role in PLM’s expansion into Minnesota, relocating from Michigan to northern Minnesota to support the company’s growth. He later helped expand services into the Twin Cities metro area with the development of a local facility.
Throughout his career, Patrick has focused on researching environmentally responsible and cost-effective management methods to address aquatic invasive species challenges. He is active in several professional organizations, including Minnesota Lakes and Rivers Advocates, the Midwest Aquatic Plant Management Society, and the North American Lake Management Society. He also serves on the Citizens Advisory Board for the University of Minnesota’s Aquatic Invasive Species Research Center and is a past recipient of SePRO Corporation’s “Applicator of the Year” award.
Outside of work, Patrick enjoys spending time with his spouse and three children, as well as traveling, ice fishing, camping, and hunting.
