

Jason Broekstra earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Grand Valley State University, where he also completed an internship with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Fisheries Division. He currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of PLM Lake and Land Management and is an active member of the company’s Board of Directors. In this role, Jason provides strategic leadership while overseeing company operations and service programs across the regions PLM serves.
Throughout his career with PLM, Jason has worked in all aspects of aquatic management, from field operations to executive leadership. Under his direction, PLM has advanced treatment methodologies and application techniques and has become an approved provider of evaluation treatments. He remains focused on helping clients make science-based decisions while supporting staff and operations across a wide range of inland lakes and ponds.
Jason is a past President of the Midwest Aquatic Plant Management Society and currently serves as President of the Michigan Aquatic Managers Association. He was the recipient of the 2009 “Applicator of the Year” award from SePRO Corporation and serves on the Michigan Inland Lakes Partnership, among other professional organizations.
Outside of work, Jason enjoys spending time with his family, participating in sports, and snowmobiling.
