PLM Lake & Land Management Corp (PLM) is a full-service lake and pond management company operating throughout the State of Michigan. Currently, PLM is seeking motivated individuals to fill our Aquatic Field Technician/Applicator positions in both our Alto & Gaylord Michigan locations. This position consists of a seasonal (8-9 months) job opportunity starting in March/April (location dependent). Positions may qualify for advancement past seasonal employment for individuals who meet certain administrative qualifications. Job Description
The Aquatic Applicator position is a full-time, seasonal job opportunity.
Daily duties include:
- Onsite management of aquatic plants and algae with approved herbicides
- Applying aquatic herbicides within State & Federal rules & regulation
- Maintain accurate daily records
- Daily operation of boats, trucks, four wheelers, etc.
- Assist in warehouse inventory management
- Fountain & aeration maintenance
- Customer relations• Equipment maintenance and repairs
Requirements
- Ability to obtain Department of Transportation (DOT) card (we will assist with this)
- Possess a valid Michigan driver’s license and able to obtain a chauffeur’s driver’s license
- Ability to obtain MDARD commercial pesticide applicator cat. 5 and 6 (we will assist with this)
- Excellent verbal skills and ability to follow directions
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Some experience in boat and truck operation is beneficial, but not required
- Able to follow a map and able to use a GPS (encouraged)
- Able to work outside in Michigan’s summer weather climate
- Available Monday through Friday from 7 am to 5 pm
- High School diploma; some college preferred
- 18 years of age
